NEW - Official Trailer of the new T4U film in the works: Film Trailer: OFFICIAL TRAILER - Thanks For The Journey - Dion Leonard Runs Badwater - YouTube

ON THE PODCAST: Today’s guest, on the Training For Ultra Podcast, is the record-breaking, ultrarunner, cyclist, swimmer, rower, author, and activist Katie Spotz. A few of her accomplishments include rowing across the Atlantic Ocean in 70 days, cycling across the U.S., swimming the length of the Allegheny River, and in three separate runs she has run non-stop across the states of New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. Each state was an individual ultramarathon. Even more impressive than her mileage, however, is her selflessness. Every single adventure she goes on raises money for clean water.

Her most recent feat was running 11 ultramarathons in 11 days… for 11 water projects in Uganda! She completed this on July 1st, 2021, by running 31 miles every single day as she made her way from Cincinnati, to Cleveland, Ohio. Not only did Katie beat the record for most consecutive ultras run by a female, she also eclipsed her initial fundraising goal by almost $5000.

T4U hopes you enjoy this week’s episode, as Rob and Katie discuss everything from how to get the most out of your crew without feeling guilty, ultra fast recovery tips, to bruised lungs from Coast Guard training.
